Our Story

The ODD Muse Story

THE NAME

The name ‘ODD Muse’ has multiple meanings.  It’s a nod to the idea that inspiration can come from pretty strange places.  It can be unconventional, abnormal and unexpected and we encourage everyone to recognize and embrace it.  It’s also a direct representation of our owner’s personal inspiration, their daughter’s (O)livia and (D)aniella (D)iaz.

WHO WE ARE

The story of ODD Muse began in an apartment kitchen with a simple idea: beer should be a gateway to community, friendship, inclusion, and culture. We believe beer is universal—that a person’s beliefs, gender, race, or ethnicity should never determine whether they feel welcome enjoying it. Beer is meant to be shared, and everyone deserves a seat at the table.

At ODD Muse, we see brewing as both a science and an art form. That’s why we collaborate with local artists and musicians, celebrating the creativity behind the beer while supporting the creative community around us.

And when it comes to the beer itself, we’re pretty proud of what we make. We brew a wide range of styles and hold every release to the same high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Whether you’re trying an old favorite or something completely new, you can feel confident that when you choose ODD Muse, you’re choosing great beer.

FARMERS BRANCH

Our Farmers Branch location is where ODD Muse began. Opened in 2019, it remains our original taproom and serves as our production facility, where every ODD Muse beer is brewed for both taprooms and our distribution partners.

DOWNTOWN PLANO

ODD Muse Craft & Kitchen opened in Historic Downtown Plano in April 2026, expanding access to our beer and adding a full-service food program. The kitchen is led by Greyson Lane, who spent the brewery’s first three years grilling and serving smash burgers from the back of our Farmers Branch taproom. Those burgers now feature American Wagyu beef from Merritt Cattle Company—cattle raised in open pastures and nourished with spent grain from our award-winning beer.
